Review #1151

Similar review posted in reddit: For weeks now, around Nov 2022, GreenManGaming.com has been refusing to sell keys to Turkey when they are sold at low regional prices. I did not have this problem before. I have tried dozens of games. They appear to be in stock, they appear to be on sale regularly. So when looked at from the outside, everything seems to be in order. I suspect this is all a charade to fulfill their "official store" duties. Publishers/platforms know GMG owns the keys, so they appear to list the keys. It may be that they even supposedly "sell" some keys behind the scenes for appearances; however, none of those go to end users as you will see. That's because no checkout can be completed, and terminates with one of two errors, both of them nonsensical: 1- "Your payment has been declined by your payment provider. Please contact them directly for assistance or use a different payment method to pay for your purchase." The error is instant via credit card or Google Pay. Checking with the payment providers show that this is not the case, no charges have been attempted. Also, bank transfers are outright denied with the same error, without even going to the 3rd party website to finalize the transaction. 2- "Unfortunately, you are not allowed to purchase a specific game in your basket. Please contact customer service for further help." The support says at least one of the items in the cart is out of stock, but they cannot know which (a silly excuse). Ultimately it doesn't matter: I try game after game, one by one, at all price ranges (provided that they are regionally discounted), and all of them fail. Every single one. The reason seems obvious. Steam recently announced (and it was widely known before the announcement) that the regional prices for low-price regions were going to be increased by x4-5. Most publishers still couldn't implement the higher prices due to Steam sale rules (one cannot go into a sale for 28 days in ANY region after a price change in ANY region, and this is the sale season with back to back sales). It's also that GMG cannot refuse to sell keys or price keys differently from official rates (because of their terms). So they pretend to not have the keys in stock if you are a buyer (via artificial cart errors), whereas they appear to sell in case publishers check. If you search, you'll find that other cheap regional buyers have the exact same problem. So my verdict is that GMG is duping all their partners and customers in order to sell the same keys at x4-5 in a few weeks. This is highly unethical, and I no longer trust this store as a party with any official capacity.
