Mancer: Prelude

Alexis is a simple girl in a world of magic, where Mancers, mages who protect the last remnants of mortalkind, learn & excel at their magical craft. A purely self-taught mage through online tutorials & how-to guides, Alexis is an underdog with no magical ancestry entering the academic life of her dreams, meeting all sorts of colourful personalities & strange dangers along the way. At the heart of these dangers is the Flood: a world-ending catastrophe that submerged most of the world in miles of arcane seas made of pure primordial chaos, transforming & corrupting everything in it. Only Mancers are able to enter the Flood, wearing specialised (and figure-hugging) skinsuits that allow them to survive the deep, to hunt its corrupted denizens & retrieve clues of their fallen civilisations.
